In this picture my first thoughts of what I can see is an image of a person who has disguised herself in different ways with certain materials or objects and has even used some editing to achieve what the photographer wanted in this photo. I can also see the use of light and balancing the colour with the background as the background is plain white and there are objects that have a similar colour and tone. In this photo I can see that there has been a use of editing for example where the face would be there are scribbles in that space and there are some parts of the photographers face cut out or left in the image. `Also with the editing he has included things like use of lines which could bring the main focus of the photo to people. This picture is a self portrait but a very different one compared to other self portraits. The reason why this self portrait is so different is because of the different techniques and features it includes. For example the photographer has used editing to make the photo better and more efficient towards the theme being Disguise, editing this photo has made it different to others as it's a very new feature and higher technology which hasn't been used in the past as much until now. Another reason to why this portrait is different to others is the way the photographer has let certain parts of the photo either included or not included, he may have done this to create an effect of it being unusual and will make people ask questions. Portraits can be based off of many things but they usually look like a photo that includes life such as the nature of the world or the activities of people. This could either upset people's expectations or rise their expectations. The reason why it could upset people's expectations is because it's a new thing created and a lot of people might not like the idea which then could lead to it being an irrelevant idea which doesn't get the popularity it could, it can also have an effect on the future ideas of photography ideas like if people don't enjoy this theme then it might make other photographers not do this idea because of the negative impact. But the reason why it could rise people's expectation is they could like the idea and then more people will use this idea when taking photos. It also could rise their expectations because of the creative thought of doing this idea which could inspire other photographers.
I think Lucas Blalock has created this image with editing softwares and his imagination to use specific objects and focus of the other parts of the photo. If i was to make a photograph like this I would also use editing apps to create something like this. It would be my main process of making a photo like this as it could be a lot easier and can't go wrong with it because you can pretty much do what you want. But if i was to use equipment which I would also need to include i might of used similar colours to what I've decided to include in the photo to create different focuses of the photo. The techniques I would use would probably be like the use of shapes, lines, different lighting, colours and tone of the background.
With this picture I have many different thoughts and feelings towards it. The way it makes me feel is that it is a very different type of photo compared to other portraits but that's what I like about this photo. I enjoy the use of editing a photo and adding different features or removing different features but also completely changing it. The picture has many different things going on which has interested me the most because you can focus on other stuff in the photo. With this photo it makes me question a lot of the things about it. 3 questions I'd ask the artist is what techniques and equipment did you use to create this photo, I'd ask this because it could give me an understanding of how to do something like this and the difficulty of it. Another question I'd ask is how long did it take to create the image and did it take a lot of planning and thought to make something like this. And the last photo I'd ask to this photographer is does the area you take a photo like this matter.
The use of the research I have done has helped me understand the picture and the artist's practice. It has helped me as. I have learned that he has taken time to think about the idea of photoshopping his photos and that he hopes it has a good impact on what people think about it. I also learned that you could use anything and just play around with the editing and it can still turn out to be something good which changes my understanding of how to approach something like this. He also says the whole photo could change which brings the freedom of the ideas to the photo and how useful and unique photoshop is.
This picture relates to the theme of Disguise a lot because of the way the photographer has used editing and changed the photo. It relates to the theme of disguise because of the missing parts of the photo for example the person has some aspects of his body for example his nose, arms and a little bit of his eyes. This makes it disguised because you cannot see the person fully.

When taking these pictures I didn't find the task too hard but when i needed to do the photoshop work i found it challenging. When taking photos I had good ideas but then I struggled more with the use of what I had like the objects and stuff around me.
When editing these photos It was hard to find out different ways to edit so I could only use liquify to edit the photos. I tried creating different looks for each photo to change it up a bit and not have all the photos the same. With these pictures I feel I could've done better and put more effort and thought into them but I think I need to manage my time more and make sure I use it wisely and also not run out of time.
